Mailing list archives

As well as managing memberships and message distribution, the listserver may also maintain archives of past messages to the list.

As discussion on mailing lists often include up-to-date information which is not available publicly by any other means, such archives can be a useful reference source, particularly in new and changing subject areas.

List archives may be browsable and in some cases, easy keyword searching is provided. JISCmail provides keyword searching of individual lists.

TASK		Select a list of your choice from the JISCmail discussion lists , and then select the option to Search the archives. Search for a relevant topic and browse through the resulting list of messages. Remember to close the new browser window when you have completed the Task.
